Always at the top of his class, he excelled constantly in all fields of academics, all the while having the military discipling you would expect of any well-rounded soldier.

Qualifications/Skills
Very talented with computers. Proficient in theoretical astrophysics. In his spare time he studies foreign languages, and is fluent in many languages, including Chinese, French, Latin, Asgard, and Ancient to name a few. However, his skill does not compare to that of the archeologists at the SGC. He has a rather accurate rifle aim. A very devoted academic, he has also graduated many of the courses at Starfleet Academy and continues his studies whenever he can. Often very focused on traditional values also, and chooses to practice traditional swordsmanship often rather than other martial arts. Qualified fighter pilot.
Biographical Information
With both his parents in very high places, he had lots of pressure to succeed. A top student throughout his educational career, he recieved a full scholarship to the Starfleet Academy, where he graduated at the top of his class. He met his spouse Amanda Chang in high school, and their relationship developed quickly.
He recieved a scholarship to University of California, Berkely Campus, and moved to the United States with Amanda. There, he studied Computer Sciences and recieved his Bachelor of Science degree in only three years, all the while attending Marines Reserve Officer Training Corps. Offered a comission both in the local security forces and the Kyoto County Militia, he decided to return to his home country and begun a short career as a Lieutenant in the countryside security base, and a few months later became a fighter pilot for the Civil Air Patrol. This was when he was engaged to Amanda. Towards the end of the two-year stay, he enrolled into Starfleet Academy, where he had a four-year stay, recieving his Masters in Computer Sciences and in Theoretical Physics.
A month later, he and Amanda were married. Only a week later, he recieved a letter from Starfleet Command HQ that he had been accepted into the elite Stargate Program. He packed up and left, with some reluctancy, even though this had been his dream for quite a while. First Lieutenant Allen Yu arrived on Sargus IV in the middle of a mission, and decided to go check out the planet where the rest of the team was.
His first mission in the SGC resulted in nothing short of a complete disaster, being almost run over by angry locals the second he stepped through the gate, only to be saved by one of the medical personell. Less than half an hour later, he was captured by the stationed Ori ship and became a POW to them, where he was infused with Ori energies. Those energies flow through him, however he is unable to control them unless he is in close contact with the Orici. His commanding officer, Colonel Hackworth, has expressed great concern over Allen's Ori energy, but there was nothing either of them could do about it. During his second mission, he was again captured by the Orici, along with most of the entire Stargate team, however Allen and his sort-of friend Captain (now Major) Karl Mjolnir were seperated and managed (with some help) to escape and cause havoc. During their brief captivity, they nearly managed to bring down an entire Ori ship singlehandedly.
