Personal Details:
Jay was born in the thick of techno super color Japan in the capital city Neo Tokyo. His parents both worked at a law firm, their long hours left Jay alone much of the time. Though he had friends and relatives Jay spent most of his youth either in front the TV or behind his computer. A mix of computer nerd and joker even in the city jay felt cramped.
He had to get out and get into space. Must to the distaste of his parents Jay enrolled in Starfleet Academy.
His first two years were the hardest of his life. He spent nearly all of his time behind a PADD going over notes and books. His first inclination was to become a doctor. His medical school in the end proved too much for the attitude he had built in his youth. He couldn't spend that much time behind a screen or elbow deep in a cadaver.
After his second year as a training doctor he dropped out and re-enrolled. This time into something more his speed. The Marine field came to Jay with ease. His own intelligence made it easy to pick up many of the theories and practices. He soon rose to the top of his class and graduated.
Though his time on the Hood was brief and he has been on the Miranda for even less Jay is a good officer. His time in the Academy has given him the experience to adapt to Federation service. He is a young and by all terms fresh officer but he neither acts it or looks it. He is a dedicated officer.
Personality Profile: Jay is an officer and a dedicated one at that but not out of uniform. A child of mass communication and the bright lights of one of Earth's biggest cities Jay is fast. Fast on his feet and in his head.
Jay is a joker computer nerd who grew out to be more handsome then his attitude shows. He is laid back when not on the job. He is funny and charismatic and not really knowing how good looking and funny he is he has managed to avoid arrogance.
Special Notes: He likes nearly all forms of music and his roommates often commented on his shower singing, they wouldn't comment on the quality but would mention the singing itself, which in many ways describes Jay. He is handsome and funny but a nerd.
He is duty minded and graduated with honors but not before he dropped out. There are things about Jay that are neither admirable nor attractive but he makes up for it with how he holds himself and others.
