Background:
When the Wraith attacked the Ancient Enclave of Szat a few weeks before his sixteenth birthday and killed his entire family, Myrkal had devoted all his time to seeking ascension, yet after words he devoted it to science, and using that science in the war against them and those like them in the defense of others seeking Ascension. For twelve years he was educated in the advanced sciences used by the Ancient Fleet commanders, and he retained this information with ease.
He was a lieutenant commander of the engineering section of the carrier Progenitor Genatrix and almost sacrificed himself to aid the rest aboard in their escape through the stargate after it was defeated. Setting the generators to go critical and explode he escaped in a cloaked jumper but not after personally detonating the generators and wiping out the majority of the wraith fleet . During this he had gathered information on the wraith vessels that was crucial in the upcoming war with the wraith.
Promoted he was put in charge of Research and Development of a new type of Drone Torpedo and it was after succeeding in doing so that he volunteered to be ut in a stasis pod and send far into the future through a temporal rift to be a repository of the Ancient way. Things went wrong, the rift sent him instead spiraling out into space to land on an unoccupied planet. The stasis pod was set to open at a certain point in time, several months ago, and he had to wait in stasis for the thousands of years it took to reach that point. He awoke on Earth , a previous SG team having discovered his pod.
They had tried to open the pod and it had been under study for years when it activated and opened on its own and Myrkal stepped out. The long stay had made most of the equipment within unworkable and he lost the majority of information that he needed to fulfill his mission.
Deciding that he would be able to aid the remaining Ancients through aiding the UTFP he offered his services and has since been studying the history of the Ancients and the Federation to keep himself up to date.
Being sent to Sargas IV was the perfect assignment for him, it provides him with the opportunity to travel through the stargates once again, and to work on a technical level against any threats that emerge. He hopes that he is up to the task.
Update:
Since his advisorial duties do not take up all of his time, he has entered extensive training in the sciences so that he can aid the Research and Develoment teams in designing new equipment to aid the UTFP in its military growth and civilian standard of living. He is currently trying to emulate the design for the naquedah generators his people used into wording and methods of construction that the UTFP engineers may understand.
This is a thing full of problems. The equipment needed to refine naquedah and the other neeeded materials still need to be designed. Therefore he is attempting to design both the equipment needed to build it as well as the generator itself.
