Personal Background
Born an only child Tony grew up in England. He went to school here and graduated from college with 4 A Levels including Physics & Engineering.
Not long after graduating Tony applied to join Starfleet, and was accepted into Starfleet Academy not long after.
While at the Academy Tony made many friends, and took part in all the extra courses and activities he could, believing in living life to the full. Something his parents had not been able to do.
A bright young man Tony was eager to get into space to explore. Whenever possible he took the chance to go above and beyond the call of duty, this led to him quickly rising through the ranks.
By the age of 30 he had achieved the rank of Commander and was serving as XO aboard the USS Intrepid. Following the sudden death of her captain in 2484 during the battle of Vengarus IV, Tony assumed command and using his experiences as a helmsman and Tactical officer lead the Starfleet Task Group to victory.
In 2485 at the age of 31 he was promoted to Captain as thanks from Starfleet for his efforts in the battle of Vengarus IV.
Tony spent the next 3 years as the CO of the USS Intrepid, it did not take him long to realise that this was where he wanted to be, in command of a star ship. It did not become really apparent until his promotion to Rear Admiral and transfer to Starfleet Operations, now being bound to a desk he realised he would have to find some way to get a command again so he could be out exploring doing what he knew he did best.
Tony has always been a career man and never had much time for romantic relationships. Although he has had many close friends, he’s always believed it best not to get involved in a relationship with a member of the crew especially once he reached the level of XO.
While at Starfleet Operations, Tony did get involved with a few women, one of the only advantages of being stationed at Starfleet Command in his opinion. However none of them lasted long due to Tony’s work ethic of nothing but beyond your best.
Not long before being offered Command of Star Base Zeta Tony had considered retiring from Starfleet, finding another job, which would put him back where he wanted to be out in space exploring the unknown.
