Krenim take Monestary

By: Arned Darvin

The Vulcan Monestary in the town of Mount Seleya has been taken over by a roving band of individuals thought to be former Krenim Prisoners of War who were long thought to have dies during the Borg Assimilation some three years ago.

It is not known exactly how many monks are being held inside the monetary nor is it known how heavily armed the Krenim are. The Police in Mount Seleya have reported some weapons missing from their armory, but there is no way to tell if those are the only weapons being used by the perpetrators.

The Krenim have sent a message to the local police demanding a ship and free passage so they can leave Gibraltar without pursuit. They have threatened to kill all hostages unless their demands are met.

Chief James White and a team of highly trained and experienced specialist hostage team from New Phoenix have arrived in Mouny Seleya. The Chief is currently being brought up to date on the situation and it is not know how soon the team will spring into action.

Meanwhile, there are reports of a Vulcan entering the monastery sometime earlier. It is assumed by many that this Vulcan may be trying to single handedly free the hostages, but his purpose is unclear as he made contact with no one before entering monastery. At this time, it is impossible to confirm neither the rumors nor the identity of this mysterious Jedi.

The Lectures while open to all will most benefit the many Younglings and Padawan learners and other Jedi hopefuls on Gibraltar.

Then once the candidate has been set apart from all others, then the real work of discipline must begin. For if not disciplined then the unruly mind can lead to the dark side.

Col. Larax Interview

By Time Fleet Information Officer.

TFNS: Colonel Larax. How do you feel about being the commanding officer of the USS Venture?
Larax: The Venture is a fine ship, and has a fine crew. I feel honored to be working with those around me as I hope they feel about one another.
TFNS: I sense a hint of pride in your statement. Isn't that a bit unusual for a Vulcan?
Larax: Pride, no not pride, accomplishment maybe, but I show no emotion.
TFNS: Very well. Have you had any problems working beside two Romulans?
Larax: Colonel Organia and Captain N'Vek are two upstanding crew members, and I am just as comfortable around them as I would be an Andorian crew member.
TFNS: I see. So the fact that they are from the more emotional branch of the Vulcan family tree doesn't bother you?
Larax: Not at all, as we all have our histories and we all have our personalities. I myself am different from you, but I do not hate you for that fact.
TFNS: Yes, that is true. So, now let me ask you what do you consider to be your greatest achievement?
Larax: Hm, I do not believe I have seen my greatest achievement as of yet, but I do believe that I will with such a crew under my command.
TFNS: Where would you like the Venture to go in the years ahead?
Larax: I would like to do a bit of exploration with the Venture, but she will always go where she is needed.
TFNS: I see. Any particular place that you have in mind?
Larax: Hm, to quote a famous captain and a novel from Earth, "second start to the right, and on till morning."
TFNS: Sounds like fun. All right then, I thank you for your time, Colonel.

Just who are the Enocillian?

By: TF Information Office.
The Enocillian evolved on the distant Gamma quadrant world covered with gaseous sulfurs, metamorphic rock with a sea of liquid iron.
Enocillian society is highly complex, rough and unforgiving. They bear some traits to the Klingon society whereby the weak are broken down and melted in pools of molten rock to be reabsorbed sometime in the future. They see humanoids and other non-silicate life as weak and not worthy of existence. This attitude causes the Enocillian to be at constant war with their neighbors.
After many millennia of war, the Enocillian were finally defeated in the late 30th century by the Temporal Federation. The Enocillian society collapsed but the Enocillian never forgot their thirst for conquest and revenge. With Temporal Technology now at their doorsteps it was only a matter of time before they would find a way to harness that technology for their own use.

By: Lt. Milo DeFulak, Stafleet Information Officer.

This unknown addiction is already contributing to many new social problems all over Starbase Zeta. Adults are spending their credits like crazy as they fall prey to this mysterious substance. Base-wide operations have taken a fall and security reports a dramatic increase in crime all over the base.
Down in the promenade, the dabo games are running over time as drug-crazed crewman gamble till all hours of the day and night. The Admiralty is up in arms and is launching a full-scale investigation to find out how such a substance could have got on board Zeta to begin with. Someone's head will surely roll for this, Admiral Yuy remarked. This kind of behavior from my crew is intolerable.
